The public health and individual risks of inappropriate antibiotic prescribing and conventional over-the-counter symptomatic drugs in pediatric treatment of acute otitis media (AOM) and upper respiratory infections (URIs) are significant. Clinical research suggests that over-the-counter homeopathic medicines offer pragmatic treatment alternatives to conventional drugs for symptom relief in children with uncomplicated AOM or URIs.
不適當的抗生素處方及傳統西醫的非處方症狀性藥物，在治療小兒急性中耳炎（AOM）和上呼吸道感染（URI）時，有顯著個人及公共衛生的風險。臨床研究顯示，非處方順勢療法藥物提供了務實的方法，替代傳統西藥，可緩解小兒單純性急性中耳炎或URI的症狀。

Homeopathy is a controversial but demonstrably safe and effective 200-year-old whole system of complementary and alternative medicine used worldwide. Numerous clinical studies demonstrate that homeopathy accelerates early symptom relief in acute illnesses at much lower risk than conventional drug approaches.
